Bea's Stockholm Adventure

by Hanau93 - last update: Nov 13, 2005

My friend Pam and I travelled to Stockholm for 10 days during our falbreak. We took the train and what a looong ride it was!!! Not to mention the trouble of finding the youth hostel..the story is quite a funny one..:) Ever heard of Pipmakargraend? No, neither did people in Stockholm not even the cab driver we called in the pouring rain..:):)
In the end we had an awesome trip.
The pic above was taken in the heart of Stockholm ( the modern part).
The location is called Sergelstorg and I was quite fascinated by it. At night the glass sculpture is illuminated and there are little fountains around it.. Underneath is a shopping centre and the plaza is often used by streetmerchants..Stockholm is a city of many faces and worth a long visit. I'd love to return at summertime one day..

Af Chapman

This photo of me was taken as the sun was setting in the older part of Stockholm, called Gamla Stan. Behind me is the ship 'Af Chapman' which serves as a Youth Hostel.
We didn't brave the sea though..:)

Gamla Stan

Marten Trotzigs Graend, the smallest street in Stockholm.
I didn't take the pics though..a nice postcard it is..:)
