"How could he ... ?" Garmisch-Partenkirchen by etfromnc

Garmisch-Partenkirchen Travel Guide: 310 reviews and 1,060 photos

It has been so long since I have been there and I have never visited the place about which my tip is written so I probably should not have a Garmisch page but it is such a fabulous place that I have to encourage people to visit and to ask, "How could Hitler have spent so much time in such a beautiful place and still have been motivated to cause so much death and destruction?"

Germany's highest mountain, Zugspitze, is just out your door and offers challenging hiking trails and gorgeous glacier-top skiing — downhill or cross-country.

I did visit the predecessor to the Edelweiss retreat center and I understand that the new place is even nicer.
