If you are going to Vancouver, please plan to spend time along the waterfront, in Chinatown, among the old growth evergreen forests and totem poles in Stanley Park, and in the original (but now revitalized) Vancouver, Gastown.
Vancouver is fine at any time of the year, but it seems to have been built for winter. Stanley Park is perfect for bracing walks and the West End hides spectacular coffee shops and brew pubs to while away inclement afternoons. Perhaps best of all you’re only 20 minutes away from some of the world's best skiing action. Let's see, where were the last winter Olympics?
