Varadero

Varadero is nice for people who just want a break and relax in the sunshine.All the hotels are all-inclusive so you can eat and drink all day long. I went to Varadero to meet my parents and spend some time with them.But i prefer to be in Havana staying with my friends..eating cuban food..and drink a mojito what taste like a mojito and not just some sugar-water.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Nice beaches
Cons:only tourists
In a nutshell:Iwouldnt go all the way to cuba to stay only in Varadero

Melia Hotel Nightlife (1)

I went into the piano-bar a few times.Every night they is either a salsa band playing or a women on the Piano. Its okay... more travel advice

All-inclusive Hotels (2)

The rooms where clean, but i dont think in 2 weeks the floor was washed ones, same on the balcony, no cleaning done... more travel advice

Until I read about the resort, I would have thought that you did not like Varadero. You should try Santiago on one of your Cuba trips.

I could use that kind of boredom for a while... :o) but I agree with ManuelEB... the "off limits" stuff is kind of weird.

Yeah...I was told that Varadero is "off limits"... Weird!!! A different kind of Guantanamo, huh? Both weird!!!
