this page is dedicated to my friend Angelica Atristain who has shown me the way to love beyond reason and the sincere dedication to the Instant Moment.
i've learnt my lesson very well, and started to appreciate life and the love of people more, look at it differently, and accept it fully as it comes. i realised that a life with love and pain is far more beautiful than a painless lonely life.
i'm very thankful to my angel of the 'Instant' love

the story of my trip to Ciudad de Mexico for five stressful, low-profile months, i'd been planning to make my dream trip to San Francisco in October 2007. i'm saying secretly because i wasn't sure what would happen, speaking of visa, my family Eid break, and money-wise.
by august, i had almost everything ready except for my american visa and so 'confronting' my family that i'd be spending the annual family break away again, and just being the usual black sheep me. and i did in the last 3 days prior to my departure! i had some dramatic scenes but all was set and settled down later on. and yes, i do do some tricks to get what i want with all parties happy and content.
until i made it to scotland for a business trip, i met a colleague from the mexico office who has been teaching me a lot on both levels, professionally and personally. and immediately i found a good 'excuse' to spare more of my 'precious' savings and see the mexican pyramids and visit her at the land of her origin of complicated talent! it was just an unspoken thought that she herself didn't know about really. but i made a wish, and no harm of promising no one anything including myself
two weeks later, i flew to the american embassy for my visa interview, got the visa, and headed directly to the mexican embassy who told me that i'd need one whole month to process the visa. i had only 3 weeks before i'd leave for california, but i said let's give it a try and i did apply.
three weeks passed and the mexican embassy told me that they'd issue me a visa but i had to leave before i got it. and so my friend told me i'd come down to San Francisco and meet you there. i rejoiced.
but the usual would never give up. i was kind of planning to see her in mexico and ticking out my wish list of the mexican pyramids, and i applied again for the mexican visa in San Francisco and voila i got it within three days
in a few days, my friend came down to SF and i booked my seat on her very same flight back, and i simply ended in the largest city of 20 million people! it was unplanned, complicated, and overwhelming but i would never let a 4-hour flight stop me from jumping out of blue to mexico. so i did. 'it's that simple'! |
