Lukove is a small village on the Albanian Riviera, 19 km north to Saranda. The name of Lukove had been made famous by Enver Hoxha because of the terraces of Lukove.
On the old narrow unpaved road that was still there in 2007, there were almost no road signs. In 2009, the new wide and coated road was finished between Saranda and Himare, but the road signs had not yet been installed. The village on the photo should be Lukove but that might also be Piqeras, 6 km north |
