Arahova or Arachova is the Latin transcription of the Greek name which is spelt Aραηoϖα.

Arahova is a mountain town built between 800 and 1100 m of elevation on the northern slopes of Mount Parnassos. It is 157 km from Athens, 12 km from Delphi, 25 km from several beaches (Antikira, Itea and Galaxidi) and 25 km from Parnassos ski station. It has 3330 inhabitants.

Arachova is very famous in the winder season! We called also Mykonos of winder!

There are a lot of greeks that go to Arachova (to show and to be seen) and NEVER to Delphi :) Arachova is winter's trendy destination for many celebrities. happy travels, konstantinos

I never knew that Montparnasse in Paris was named after Oρος Παρνασoς in Greece, or rather after a heap of rubble around 1725.

Now I know how the Mount Parnassos looks like near Arachova because it was covered by clouds when I stood just at the same place where you have taken your pics.
