The second bas-relief is more conventional and represents a bishop's coat of arm with two roaring lions and two knights holding a banner. The cap and the cross show undoubtedly that it is a bishop coat of arm, but which one ?

The third bas-relief also is conventional and represents a cardinal's coat of arm with in the bottom what looks like a goose feather for writing. On top of the coat of arm, the figure is more enigmatic and I won't write what I feel it might represent (and which it certainly does not) ...

Fighter angel

Outside the south wall of Sveti Nikole, three bas-reliefs. This one depicts a frightening angel ready for fight. Would him be on a bike, he might be mistaken with a Hell's angel. But, actually, would it be a mistake ?

Christ statue

IIn front of the entrance of Sveti Nikole, sits a statue of a Christ down from the cross.
Lichens are often used for air pollution monitoring. As the statue is covered with lichens, it is very good evidence that, though an industrial city, the air of Pazin remains unpolluted.

Sveti Nikole, the nave

The central nave has beautiful gothic vaults with a series of wall painting from around 1470 on the theme of the cycle of the Creation. There was not enough light and my flash light was not powerful enough to take good pictures of it.

Sveti Nikole, the front entrance

Saint Nicholas church (Sveti Nikole) was first built in 1266 but few remains visible of that period as it was later completely transformed in gothic style. In 1659, two side aisles were built and gave it the appearance we can see today.
