    Getting TO/AROUND: For those that do not know, Istria is a small, triangular shaped peninsula of Croatia that extends between Trieste in Italy and Rijeka in Croatia. Poreč stands on the West coast, about at mid distance between Trieste and Pula, at the southern end of the peninsula.

    Getting TO/AROUND: This map of Poreč and surroundings is on display at several places in the city. This one was shot on the side of the parking lot that is close to the city market.

    The old city is on the peninsula (light brown). The yellow parts are modern developments of the city. Hotels show in red

    Getting TO/AROUND: The harbor of Poreč stands on the east coast of the peninsula. It is well sheltered by the island and the piers that extend at both of its ends. The harbor welcomes both private yachts and local excursion boats for day sailings.

    Getting TO/AROUND: The satellite view given by Google Earth (two photos have been pasted) shows on top the parking lot for the market. Underneath, the market is a square roof. Just underneath, the space with no roofs is Trg J. Rakovca. On the left of Trg J. Rakovca, another space with no roofs is Trg Slobode. More on the left is the old city.
