This is not really a page on Piacenza, where I have been several times for my job but have no photos (may be I will build one later), but this is to bring you to a little place, in the "colle Piazentine" (the hills of Piacenza) about 30 km south to Piacenza where we had an excellent dinner and a peaceful night, outside Vernasca, at Madonna di Pione, "la Locanda dei 2" (the Inn of the 2).

This time, the only thing I have seen of Piacenza was a terrible traffic jam on the "tanganziale" (the freeway that goes around the city), where we spent 90 minutes for 20 km !

Hi so nice to have your regular/frequent visits to my pages!Have just booked flights to Sicily for the almond blossoms and hopefully snow at least on Mt Etna!my 1st visit & expect some very nice driving 4 days in Sicily!

I was in Emilia-Romagna recently, and even rode through a small corner of Piacenza Province on my bicycle while I was cycling from Cremona to Busseto and back.
