"Parc National d'El Kala" El Kala by JLBG

El Kala Travel Guide: 7 reviews and 24 photos

El Kala is a small town, east to Annaba and close to the Tunisian border. However this page will not be about the city but about the "Parc National d'El Kala" (El Kala State Park).

The Park lies between Annaba and El Kala in a zone of lakes, brackish of soft water swamps and wetlands. The first photo gives an aerial view of the western part of the park, the closest to Annaba. From West to East, you will find Lake El Mellah, lake Tonga and lake Obeira.

This page is about a guided tour in the park but unfortunately, it was raining most of the time and we had not as much hiking as we hoped to have.

They look like our mullet, I wonder if they taste the same? Very enjoyable page Jean Louis. The birdlife out here would knock you over! :)

Stunning view of the area from the airplane. Who would have thought that you could buy fish at the side of a road. I wonder if Mullet tastes good. Also thanks for visiting some of my Niagara Falls.

Your trip to El Kala reminds me of our visit to the Biebrza wetlands - the wrong season for birdwatching and rainy weather. Still, this happens and we can't help it.:) It certainly looks like an interesting area.

Interesting tips and mysterious off the beaten path lake. Opuntia ficus-indica seems to be quite common in Tunisia and Morocco, too, right?
