We all love BIG bombs, BIG tanks, BIG airplanes, BIG guns, BIG swords, and a guy in a World War I costum doing a horrible accent, telling us about what it was like in the trenches. Like all museums in London, this one is FREE!. And like all the free museums, that happily accept donations. OK so all u need to know is there are plenty of cool things in this museum. My favorite was walking through the World War I trenches. You can also sit inside a bunker and re-live what the people of London went through when the Germans were bombing the city. Definitly a good time! For more on the museums and its hours, visit the following link to its officail website, Imperial War Museum* Please feel free to rate this tip, and any of my others. I am always looking to improve them...

Anyone can say they saw the changing of the guards, but has everyone seen a guard trip and fall. I have! But i didnt get a picture of it. I know its mean, but it was pretty cool and funny. He was ok though. The palace wasnt all i expected it to be, but it still is pretty neato. If you are going to see the changing of the gaurd. Be aware that its not always daily, except during the summer. On some months its every even day, and some its odd days. To enter the palace it will cost 13.50 (pounds). For more info on visiting the palace check the following link to their homepage. Buckingham PalaceHave a good time! * Please feel free to rate this tip, or any of my other tips,. Big Ben and the House of Parliament is always a breath taking sight to see. Not only is it great to see during the day, but if you get a chance, take the time to walk the grounds around it at night. Make sure you get there before midnight because the lights then turn off. Its also awesome to listen as Big Benny hits the stroke of midnight. It is possible to visit the House of Parliament but make sure u arrive early because the lines can get long. For all info you could ever need about visiting the House of Parliament, visit the following link to their officail website, House of ParliamentBig Ben Fun Facts Big Ben actually refers to the bell within the tower, rather then the tower itself.
The bell itself weighs 13 tonnes. Thats more then 5 fully grown Asian elephants
The minute hand on the clock, travels over 146 miles a year

Tower Bridge: You Mean Its Not the London Bridge

OK, like most people, i think i am not that dumb. But when i saw the Tower Bridge, i said "i thought that was the London Bridge" The bridge is just as beautiful as you see in the pics. There are great chances to get some great pics of the bridge from all over the Thames River. Admission into the tower is 5 pounds. For more info on times and dates, check out the link to the bridge homepage. tower bridgeIf you are interested in seeing the London Bridge from the song. Its about a mile West down the river. Its just a plain normal bridge. What a let down! Tower Bridge Fun Facts: Tower bridge is the only moveable bridge out of the 29 bridges in London.
In its first few years after being built, the bridge use to open and close over a thousand times a year. Now it averages only a 100 times a year
A bus once had to jump the bridge in 1952, when the bridge was raised while the bus was still driving over it. No one was hurt.

You cant take pics in the Cathedral, but u can get some great shots of the outside of it from all around the city. I found it a bit expensive to visit inside (8 pounds) but at the same time its worth it. For times and other admission prices visit the following link to their homepage at ST. PUALS CATHEDRALFun facts:
St Puals is also famous for its whispering gallery. If you go to the domes wall and whisper into it. Someone with their ear on the other end of the wall can clearly hear you. It can sound pretty scary when u have a whole bunch of whispers at the same time.
The bell in the Cathedrals tower weighs over 17 tonnes, thats more the 8 male Nile Hippos.

Things To Do: ROMANS KNOW HOW TO RELAX...

I didnt spend enough time in city of Bath to make a proper page for it since i only took a day trip there from London So i figured i would just throw in something about the Roman Baths on my London page. The Roman Baths were the bomb. Like almost everyone, i love Italy, so i felt that this kind of took me back there. It also took me back into the days when the Romans occupied this part of England. I took the audio tour which was included with your admission price of 9.50 euro. I also took a free guided tour that leaves every hour from the main pool. Most people dont know about this since it isnt well advertised. Which is good since u get a more personal tour. The city was very charming and i will be back there in just over 2 weeks to see more of it. then i can finally make a Bath page. For more info on the Roman Baths and the city, visit their officail website roman baths]* Please feel free to rate this tip and any of my others tips. I am always looking to improve them. A must see activity of london is Trafalger Square. Located in the heart of historic downtown London, on the door step of the national gallery and only a few blocks from Big Ben, u cant miss it. With Nelsons column, Lanseer Lions, beautiful fountains, and Big Ben in the back drop, the square makes for beautiful photo oppertunities. Also at the sq. u can find the Canada house, the church of St. Martins, the begining of Londons broadway, and Admiralty Arch, which is the entrance way that leads down THE MALL to buckingham palace. The square is also know for its many demistrations and ofcourse for the hundreds of pigeons. Almost as bad as the pigeons at San Marco Square in Venice. Oh well i am over it. Have fun at the square, and dont feed the birds, the other tourist will... *Please feel free to rate this tip or any of my other tips. I am always looking to improve them. Thank u...

The first thing that sticks out of my mind when i think of this church is not the detail of the church or maybe a unforgetable beauty. yes it was very nice, very big, and very fancy. i actaully wouldnt compare it as one of the most beautiful chuches i have seen, but definitly one of the most unique. When i say unique, i am refering to the lay out of the church inside. The church is the final resting place of many monarchs. As u walk through the church u are taken through a maze of different rooms and tombs. it ha a very sacred feel about it, as well as very interesting. Church visiting hours and admissionm Monday to Friday: 0930 - 1545 Wednesday (late night opening): 0930 - 1900 During the winter: 0930 - 1800 Saturday: 0930 - 1345 Sunday: Open for services only (The Abbey closes one hour after last admission) Admission -Adults £8 For more info, click on the following link to visit the official website of WESTMINISTER ABBEY. *please feel free to rate this tip, or any of my other tips.
