Bryinpoland, Takes On New Zealand! TRAVEL STATUS: March 4th, 2006
HOLY SMOKES!!! It's been 6 weeks since our move from Australia to New Zealand and wouldnt you figure, the moment I leave Australia, summer decides to show its face. Get bent Australia!!!
So here we are, summer in New Zealand and i am wearing sweat shirts and jeans to stay warm. The thought of moving back to Hawaii someday grows more inviting by the day. OK, not anytime too soon, but i sure could use a day on the beach and in the water without the need of a wet suit.
Before settling in the South Island, we took about a month to explore the in and outs of the North Island. Damn that island is beautiful! I can see why there is such a rival between the North and the South Island. They are just jealous...
So we have settled into Christchurch and are now in the job market again, looking for the means to support this years travels. On the agenda? First and for most is the need to explore as much as New Zealand as we can while we are here. I some what felt that last year in Australia i failed to do that. So most of this year will be spent probably within our borders. Kayaking the southern sounds and ripin up the southern Alps of the south islands are a must.
Late June early July takes us to Hawaii. My parents are expecting us there, so that means we better be there. No complaints from me. If the job hunt goes real well i am aiming for a trip to Sydney and hopefully Fiji later in the year. As many islands as i can hit in the South Pacific while in the region the better. Fiji, Somoa and Tonga are all on the back burners. I just havent told Nadine yet.
Bring on 2006! |

Teddy, and the World Record! Updated Sept. 2005 While surfing the web one day. I stumbled across the Guiness World Records website. I just happen to see a record about the worlds most traveled teddy bear who has traveled over 100,000 miles. Well i own a teddy bear named Teddy, and if he hasnt already beat that record, then he is atleast well on his way. I have had Teddy for over 20 years and he has been with me back and forth across the United States dozens of times, across into Europe and around Europe a couple times, and then some. He has recently moved to Australia with me, where he hopes to explore the outback, and some of Asia as well. Teddy want's to break the record and i am going to help him do it. Keep checking back for photos of Teddys travels.
See pictures of Teddys most recent travels to Singapore, Johor Bahru Malaysia, Hong Kong China, Bali Indonesia, Nambung National Park Australia, to see the famous Pinnacles, and to North Bend State Park West Virginia USA, for a family reunion. My teddy bear travel page (Updated Sept 2005) |
WE CAN ALL BE FRIENDS... I visited the Honolulu Zoo this last year, and i learned an important lesson from a monkey and a turtle, and that is that it doesnt matter where we come from, whether its from the trees, or from the water... we can all be friends..
The monkey told the turtle "i always got your back mate" |
CHEERS! I would like to wish all my family, friends, and everybody else...happy travels, happy lifes, and the best of luck in whatever you should do, and wherever you should go. My only wish is that you are as blessed as i have been... |

Toshioohsako Tue Feb 12, 2008 12:21 UTC Hi Nice sheep picture. How do you feel about living a country where there are more sheep than people? Although you have so many, we don't say "sheeps". It should be "sheepsssssssssssssssssss". Have a good day. | WorldMeet2008 Sat Dec 29, 2007 10:25 UTC "We have to get to know each other better, it makes us understand one another better, trust each other more, and live together more peacefully".
