We decided to squeeze in a trip to Amsterdam during our Belguim stay. I booked a room at the Swisshotel, right on Dam Square. Things started off great when we were upgraded into a suite, with a view overlooking the square. We hit the streets and started walking. We took a canal cruise, went to Anne Frank's house, ate frites and mayo, and had falafel. We also poked our heads into a coffee shop, and checked out the red light district...but we didn't buy anything. |
