I have always dreamed of travelling to the USA since I was maybe 6 or 7. I have no idea why america meant so much to me back then. I just always wanted to breath the american air, see how life's there and how everything looked like over the great sea.
In 1994 my parents made my dream come true. They allowed me to go to California as an exchange student for one month. I spent a month living with a family in Rancho Cucamonga, a southeastern suburb of LA. It was great to get an insight in the life of an american family. I went to barbeques, baseball games,...
I went to "summer school" where we were taught in English and made many trips to Yosemite National Park, San Diego, Tijuana/Mexico and also around LA. |
