Amsterdam is one of the best cities that I have visited. I always feel at home here, probably cause my ancestors come from this part of the world. Amsterdam has so much to offer the visitors and not only the stuff to smoke as my nephew believed.
I love all the museums, the canals, the architecture and of course the language. Slightly different from my own but still understandable to me.

Outside of Amsterdam near Leiden you will find this absolutely fantastic garden filled with Tulips. The season starts end of March and finishes mid Mei. Best time to visit would be in April.

The Netherlands in the small. This little village is a must visit when you are in Amsterdam and have a free day. It is just marvelous what they have done here and an extremely enjoyfull outing.
