The wonderful Parisians

by mvtouring - last update: Nov 13, 2008

Fist visit

Eiffel tower
And then there was Paris with the Parisians. It was with great expectation that we arrived at Gare du Nord to visit the city of love that everyone speaks so much about. We were quite amazed as this is a nation on their own, quite unlike the rest of the French people, they walk around with an air of grace and nose in the air attitude that makes you either love them or hate them. Do not address them in English or German they will just ignore you and thereby infuriate you so that they can claim that we are commoners with no manners.

Despite all of this, I had lots of fun in this city watching the Parisians sipping for a full afternoon on one glass of wine accompanied by a glass of water, watching the world go by.

This is one of the world's great food capitals and bastion of classic French cuisine.

Airports:
The main airports are Charles de Gaulle which is 26 km northeast of Paris served by the RER-B line and Orly which is 16km south of Paris and has a TGV station. Both are serviced by busses as well

Second visit 2008

Visiting this lovely city again after so many years, was really wonderful. First time around was just an appertiser, but this time we had a full week here to explore and see all the sites that we missed the previous time. Unfortunately we experienced extremely bad weather the whole time. The highlight for me was visiting Disneyland and for my sister it was visiting Versailles.

Thanks for your visit to my pages, lovely Paris tips, I must say...I was disappointed with the Hotel we stayed at in Paris, expensive, I think SA has far better accommodation.
