This was our second port of call. This lovely little small coastal town is located in the heart of the French Riviera. The ship docked quite a distance outside the port and we were then ferried in to Villefrance by little boats. Villefranche is situated against the hills and overlook the bay between Nice and Monte Carlo. From there you have a fantastic view. The pace here is very slow and relaxed. I found that the locals were very friendly people, and loved to talk to visitors. Cannes is approx 28 miles from here and Nice just 3 miles away. Monte Carlo is some 6 miles from here and belongs to the Principality of Monaco. We went there with the tour bus, that was organised by the staff on the ship. |
