It was with great excitement that we boarded the bus in Garmish for our day trip to Schloss Linderhof. This was a holiday to see all the castles of King Ludwig & his family. Linderhof Palace is near Oberammergau in the southwestern part of Bavaria. It is the smallest of the three palaces built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria and the only one of which he lived to see completion.
