"Not that bad" Randers by smukke

When I first stepped out of the train, I said "Oh my, this is ugly". I had previously lived in the beautiful Aalborg in a house next to the stadium and pretty close to the fjord side.
Randers is a wannabe town. A bump in the road and- to its luck- also in the railroad system.
It doesn't have a decent cinema, it is expensive, small, always dirty and the rows are too tight. The building is old and the ceiling looks like it might fall in your head. Maybe that's why they don't have dolby surround- just playing safe.
Night life is boring for people between 18 and 40. The solution for a good saturday is to go to Aarhus, ~ 50 km south.
Randers is like Paris- it has its own Eiffel Tower right in the middle. It's an ugly green-greyish chimney visible from any corner and every window, just like the Eiffel in silly american movies.
Although the town center is on the north side of the fjord, the beautiful houses and fancy neighborhoods are on the south side. I guess some people just want to drive out of town without actually driving through it.
Nevertheless, it is cheap to live in, cozy and quiet. It's easy for a student to go to school, to work, and live in the same place.
