We booked a tour with Intrepid Tours that includes Bangkok (3 days) and 4 days Koh Samet.
We stayed at Ao Prao Resort at the left side of the Island. It's said that it's a better and more peacefull part of the island.

Pros and Cons

Pros:peacefull, nice beaches, close to Bangkok, great sunsets at Ao Prao Beach.
Cons:Can't think af one.....only that you want to stay longer......!!!!!
In a nutshell:This is the paradise you're looking for!!!!!!
