"Malmo" Skåne by gordonilla

After travelling from Copenhagen on the train crossing the Oresund bridge and tunnel; Europe's longest bridge (7.8km) I enjoyed the cold wind ands scenery of the docklands area.

city centre

the city is one of Sweden's most cosmopolitan; it is lively and vibrant - even in January it was full of people and it was good fun!

There was an opportunity to enjoy some shops and the sales; notably in sports shops.

The squares and streets depict the city's history and like so many hanseatic league cities the history remains obvious to this day!

Sir Toby's

It had started to snow and it was cold; we came across Sir Toby's. I am not English and shy away from anything described as "an English pub". However I was pelasantly surprised. The bar was geared up to showing football, and during my visit they were showing a West Ham game on one screen, a Juventus game on another and AC Milan on a third screen. Each was surrounded by Swedish local fans of each team. The Juve fans were as always the most lively!

We had lunch, the steak and chips were excellent. I had a peppered steak and can highly recommend it - we also had a Swedish beer........it appeared as if we were the only two beer drinkers. (say no more about the beer then)
