National Museum of Computing - Bletchley

National Museum of Computing

The National Museum of Computing

The museum was founded to collect and restore computer systems; especially those developed in the UK. They receive no formal funding and it is operated by volunteers and by donations.

The museum is home to the rebuilt Colossus mark II.

I have to admit, I found it a little depressing, but they are keen and very positive about their work and the museum itself.

Signage - Bletchley

Signage

Bletchley Park

This is a unique site, which houses buildings used war time code and cypher specialists. I have to say it is indeed a shadow of what it must have been like in war time. sadly they receive no Government funding to keep the facilities operating.

Although it was quite expensive to gain admission; the ticket was actually a season ticket lasting a year. So, you can go more than once. They also charge for on site parking.
