A city of history both factual and fictional!
I used to live here, quite some years ago - it was my place of work and home. It was also the home of Brother Caedfel (Ellis Peters' fictional monastic detective), ex crusader, now turned monk and apothicary at Shrewsbury Abbey which does exist, although there are no monks there these days. (I may be wrong on that point).
I used to be the manager of one of the dance halls that was there - Park Lane, Raven Meadows. It was quite enjoyable living adn working uin this town - happy memories.
