This was a few days away from London; and visiting my friends Paul and Tamara. This was my second visit to Spain, and it was the first staying with real Galicians.
The town is quite quiet, and a little quaint. However it was a pleasant enough town to visit.
On the Saturday evening, we went to the bar across the street to watch the Madrid v Barcelona match. This convinced me I should be a Madrid fan! The memory of the game, is that as Figo was trying to take a penalty, a pig's head was thrown onto the pitch! The players were taken off the pitch for about 40 minutes before the game resumed. |
| | Camino di Santiago The pilgrims trail passes by and the churches are open for worship. There are quite a few interesting restaurants on the trail and in close proximity to it.
We had lunch in a nearvy eatery, which served us 1kil of steak, which was sliced and we had to cook it ourselves over coals and a hot plate. It was excellent. Not something that one person can eat by themselves I would suggest. |
