Santa Cristina is in the metropolitan area of A Coruna, and the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. These pictures are taken out of season, and it was peaceful to sit with a cafe solo and a book.
In the summer months, the beachs and cafes are very busy indeed.
The beaches are now almost recovered from the old spillage which caused huge ecolological problems some years ago. With the location Galicia has on the Spanish coastline and the Atlantic, everytime there is a sinking oil tanker they are at risk! |
| | The locals It seems that this was and to a degree is still a fishing village. The local community either works in some of the bars and restaurants which are busy in the summer or is involved in fishing. |
A green spot.... There seems to be odd areas where there are some trees and grass. This was a good image I thought. | | |
