"Nuuksio National Park" Nuuksio by gordonilla

Nuuksio is a short distance from central Helsinki, and i was taken there on late September day by one of my Finnish friends, Hannu.

He is a keen outdoor swimmer and was enjoying the last of the "summer" weather.

The signage is uniform acround the National park - and we (Hannu and I) were making our way to Mustalampi....Black Pond.

hannu and I walked through the forest to the Black Pond. the whole area was very busy, but when we reached the pond it had started to rain - I decided that i would not swim, but Hannu enjoyed the natural freshness of the water.
