"Tampere in the winter" Tampere by gordonilla

I visited Tampere for the weekend witha friend, Jani. It was cold, but we had a good time. The one question I still have is why did we start to walk around a residential area looking for tall buildings - well actually the answer is easy. Jani has a thing about tall buildings!

The snow is falling and we walked for what seemed like miles. From memory I think we made our way to sarkaniemi which has an amusement park and the famous Sara Hildenen Museum.

The observation tower is clear to see and has a cafe and restaurant at the top of it. The menu was very fish based when I visited it.

The view from the tower was excellent. The views from all the windows are clear and afford excellent opportunities to take photographs.
