"The Roman City and it's walls" Lugo by gordonilla

Travelling back from Benavente we stopped in the Roman city of Lugo to drop of one of the wedding guests.

We paid a short visit to the old city walls. Even today they are impressive.

I thought I had taken some other pictures of the rest of the group, but I can't find them. So you will all have to settle for Mario.

We visited the medieval church and it was a little strange. The church staff were somewhat frightening and they were not at all friendly in either Espanol o Ingles!

The centuries of worship are evident, the soot and smell of buring candles is very apparent.

There is lots of work being undertaken around the buildings and the walls.
