Travelling back from Benavente we stopped in the Roman city of Lugo to drop of one of the wedding guests.
We paid a short visit to the old city walls. Even today they are impressive. |

Old and New We visited the medieval church and it was a little strange. The church staff were somewhat frightening and they were not at all friendly in either Espanol o Ingles!
The centuries of worship are evident, the soot and smell of buring candles is very apparent.
There is lots of work being undertaken around the buildings and the walls. | | |
