I paid only RMB80 for this necklace?I
It's another market I like , but mainly for pearl shopping . This is a 3-4 story building right in front of Tian Tan park, quite central located.
They have also those stuff as YA XIU has. Some antique also good here but a bit expensive.
They have extremely nice girls selling pearl , most of them are bilingual or multilingual . No worry for the language when bargain.
The worst is to get help by calculator!
My boss said we will have good business if our sales staff are as good as these girls!
What to buy: Pearl is the speciality of this market. These are sweet water pear from southern China provinces. These girls are very skillful and doing things very quick. They can re-make the pear necklace/bracelet as the design you like. Just tell them what you want!
The qulity is not bad general speaking, people like to bring them back to their country for the cheap price and not bad quality . It's the perfect gift from China!
The bargaining skill : reference to "YA XIU"

This is the store owned by Beijing No1 carpet factory, the store is proper right in front of the factory .
I am a carpet collector, occassionally I found this place years ago and since then it becomes an addiction to come here.
Most of the carpets selling here are made by this factory , not cheap for the high quality .But it's 20-30% less than supermarket as they sel their own products.
Not many people come here , it's a simple decolated store, from outside you can't find they are selling good carpet .
Prices have been increased these years , but still worth to collect ( value does not decrease especially the hand made one)
I feel pleasant even if I do window shopping here!
What to buy: Somthimes they can give little promotion!
5% discount!
Address: NO20, ANDING ROAD, DONG CHENG DISTRICT
Directions: Close to AN ZHEN QIAO, if you come from south part of 3th ring , turn right at AN ZHEN QIAO, about 200 metre ahead , on the right side of the road.

Located in the centre of WANG FU JING street, it is a famous state owned old brand store specializing in silk cloth.
You can find very reliable good quality Chinese silk , all colour, many varieties. I like this place , always but my silk cloth from here.
If you mentioned the name of the store you any local , they will tell you they know it!
No bargain with the price, it's quite reasonable , quality is quaranteed.

This is a market located in the south part of the city , also called as sunday market.
Many of the goods are not real antique, people comes here just to buy "Chinese "stuff, like pictures/budda status/woolden funiture/vase/porcelain/old carpet....etc...
You need to be expert if you want to find the real antique. I enjoy seeing these stuffs and people, just for fun..sometimes buy porcelian vase as gift to my foreign friends.

This is a street full of department stores / Old Beijing brand store/book store/ video everything .
I like to come here at weekend, but not for big shopping . I enjoy walking on the floor which is decolated with marble ,especially in a sunny spring afternoon. I like the feelling being in the middle of the people. You know this street is considered as NO 1 street in China. It has many years hsitory and many old brand stores are existed for tens of years .
There is a Christian church in the street, also you can find starbucks facing the church.
If you like Beijing snack, right next to this there is place full of all kinds of street food during night time. Generally no worry for the hygiene , nothing happened to me when I eat there!
Enjoy!

Good location, close to SAN LI TUN diplomatic zon. It's a 4 story building , shopping inside. Not like silk market, you need to walk outside in a narror street.
The general quality of the goods here are competitive to any other similar market in Beijing .
What to buy: You can find clothes/shoes/bags/bed stuff/silk/snack ...a bit of everything...
Very busy during weekend as many local also comes here .
You need to have a good bargain skill to get the fair price. Normally I start at 30% from what they asked . My bottom line is not more than 40% .
Last Sunday I was there , I bought one cotton sweater and one sport treasures , the origional offer was RMB260, the final price I paied was 110.
Just to give you an idea!
I am sure you will not come out with blank hands!
