Khao Lak Bay Front Resort: It seemed that it was our private resort!

This hotel is in Phang Nga province, about 2 hour driving distance from Puhket. I found this place from internet , I havn't even made a hotel reservation! I only bring the hotel infm and made a phone call when we arrived at Phuket airport.Fortunately we got a good offer . We paid about USD20 to the taxi at airport and in 2 hours we arrived here!
Unique Qualities: This hotel is well maintained , right at seaside.The view is magnificant , sea/pool/garden/mounatin....they have everything I was expecting! May was low season, I only found 2 .3 people stay in the same resort with us, I got a nice bangalow facing swimming pool and sea. I like the shower in the room, feel don't want to come out! It was the best season for fruits, we rent car for 3 days and stopped at many places for beach/seafood /fruits , wonderful time!

It's a place we occassionally found , we moved to here because no room available on weekend where we stayed . We had decided to stay there for the rest of the holiday . The beach is clean , sandy without people , only a few local at weekend . The sea is calm , gentle wave good for swimming.
Unique Qualities: It's the guest house right on the beach total less than 20 rooms . front line house have sea view while the line behind have pool and garden view . It' s true local place without foreign tourists, the staff can speak very little English . We stayed in garden view room for 2 nights with Bat. 1500 (weekday only 1000). We moved to seaview for 3 nights after Chinese New Year peak Bat.1500 (weekend 2000) You can either eat either in resort (not expensive ) or go to the restaurants with 5 minutes walking distance , both have with great seaview .

Your Khao Lak Bayfront Resort was wiped out in the tsunami. We visited the area a few days afterward. A lot has been rebuilt now though. Very, very sad. | kyoub Fri Feb 9, 2007 12:53 UTC
