San Clemente Street Fair (End of Summer)

Favorite thing: Taking the train (Amtrak) right to "Main Shore", the place to be in SC.

Fondest memory: Recommended by one of my brothers, I have enjoyed the San Clemente Street Fair in the past few years. It's nothing so special, as there are many street fest during the summer in SoCal, but this one has been particularly fun for me.

Locals come together for good food, wine and beer, live music, shopping and just for the sake of casual meeting. The live music is actually quite tolerable. There is usually a party rock band (not too hard or soft), fusion group performing. Last time I went there was an excellent reggae-ish act on stage. For kids, there are little bouncers and water slides for their pleasure.

Coming here will always be special for me because I discovered the works of my favorite poet, Merrit Malloy here at the library. Yes, I'm quite the nerd going to the library while attending a street fair full of alcohol and shopping.
