Similar to a rose, Pasadena is a perfect flower type, with all attractive parts. The look, especially in the heart of the city, the "pistil", is just marvelous. Locals and out-of-towners have been charmed by Pasadena splendor for several decades. Many come to the city to delight in the general atmosphere, reminiscent of an old, European city by the hills.

Home of one of the most celebrated college football games including those of USC/UCLA Bruins
Host to several events including the monthly flea market!
- Pros:Big city entertainment esp. in the arts and sports, old charm of downtown and South Pas, lovely hilly/mountainous areas, quality restaurants
- Cons:nothing too major, just typical problems of big cities like street traffic (esp on Colorado Blvd),slight criminal activity
- In a nutshell:Pasadena- More than the Rose Bowl Indeed!

Heading to Pasadena this upcoming weekend, lots of good information here!
This is really a well done and informative page. Now maybe I will need to rethink my hotel choice and actually stay in Pasadena. Although Glendale is not far.
My favorite Travel store of all time is in Pasadena called "Distant Lands" on Raymond Ave.. Was there last night listening to a presentation on Nepal.. Good Pasadena pages!!
