Just as Hollywood has its Walk of Fame, so does Palm Springs. See sidewalk tributes of town favorites such as Sonny Bono, Elvis, Bob Hope and Phyllis Diller (last three pictured). Surely, this is a very trite thing to do but you know that you're a sucker for cheesy stuff sometimes!!!

Palm Springs is a fine art city, the grandest example of the California desert. Downtown features many glorious statues and modern sculpture. In southern California, it's not just Hollywood with the big movie festivals and hoopla. Palm Springs host an acclaimed, annual movie festival, held every January. Reserve tickets in advance to guarantee but this is not absolutely needed. Features of festival: Black Tie Gala- very exclusive , celebrity filled event. Past celebrities here include Brad Pitt, Halle Berry and sean penn among several others. Passes are this are pricey (usually a few thousand) other galas, movie screenings, seminars and presentations. Ticket location may vary year to year but, for one, is likely to be at : Regal Cinemas Palm Springs Stadium 9, 789 Tahquitz Canyon Way or the Camelot Theatres 2300 E. Baristo Road
