at the Block at Orange. Due to outrageous over-expansion, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts had to shut down many locations (inlcuding the one of my La Habra). Fortunately, there are still a few in Orange county, including one at the Block and also south in Mission Viejo. The one at The Block at Orange has a very cute, 50s style building.

Unique Suggestions: split a donut with a friend. This way, you would feel less guilty about the calories consumed. And if you are one who doesn't care about the calories, I envy you !

Fun Alternatives: For a sweet but healthier fix, eat a cinammon pretzel without butter (like from Auntie Anne's at the Block) or drink an all natural fruit smoothie at a cafe. Of course, eating an apple from the market would be much better!

Cafe Tu Tu Tango

Maybe I should put this also in the restaurant category as well. Cafe Tu Tu Tango looks very appetizing, both with its architectural eye candy and Nouveau Latin cuisine menu. Looks can indeed deceiving, and this restaurant proves it- somewhat. People, especially singles, flock here at night in hopes of finding a date, so if you see a crowd here-it's not because of the quality of food! Many of the tapas are greasy beyond belief! The pizzas are decent but overpriced like most are in trendy So Cal restaurants.

Unique Suggestions: If you are drawn here because of the colorful decor or the singles crowd, order a salad or a drink but no greasy tapa!

Fun Alternatives: At the Block , there are different varieties of restaurants. I would opt for Market Square, which does good seafood. It offer the substance in the dishes, a nice decor and welcoming atmosphere.
