"Come to an Almost Hidden California Island!" Coronado by marinarena

By way of downtown San Diego, one can discover Coronado Island. It is an quaint and lovely escape from the city.

This is a place I will try to visit again in 2006 fo sure! Fortunately, it is just a few hours away! Some things that I can say about this place:

It's remarkably affordable, for being an island, that is!
the waves here are just fantastic!
it has the feel of suburbia though surrounded by water
the transportation is very so-so (oh, it so could be better!)

Come back - I will gather my thoughts !!!

• Pros:it is affordable for an island, it has lovely views, and wonderful beach/sea activities
• Cons:many cars,some potential for danger in crossing streets at times
• In a nutshell:Head to San Diego's Coronado Island!
