Brea Mall (Westfield Shopping Center): Brave Brea Mall Traffic

Well, if locals know about Brea, it is usually because of the much hyped mall located here. All right , it is typical to mention it but to leave out the mall when bringing up Brea is just cardinal sin! (ok, maybe not but....you get the idea).

The common dept stores are here: Macy's, JC Penny, Sears and Nordstrom. Some smaller stores come and go here. For more unique shopping, there are a few boutiqes to satisfy. Maybe the most notable place in this mall is the spa. Oh my God, after walking for hours, a nice pedicure would be perfect.

Warning to visitors. This mall is particularly busy and congested, especially on the weekends. If you are impatient, you may want to avoid this place in the early afternoon times then, when car and foot is at their peak. Also, don't come throughout special busy occasions, like on the 2 days after Thanksgiving, Mother's Day (and the day before it), Valentine's Day and of course the last frantic days leading up to Christmas.

Driving around the mall can get a bit tricky when crowded. The main circle path causes some headaches especially on the points where it can be hard to yield. Hmmm..better to see this for yorself here.

What to pay: a little to a lot. This is a medium -upscale mall.

Directions: off the 57 fwy, exit Imperial Highway

Store in Brea, California - Brea

Store in Brea, California

Eddie Bauer Outlet: A Not-So- Inland Outlet in So Cal !

Actually, it's a unisex shop but men especially look good in Eddie Bauer clothes.
It is along Brea Blvd. at the Birch Street Promenade in Brea. What's great here is all about the prices!! Compared to a regular Eddie Bauer, I'd say that one can easy save at least 40% on similar outfits. The sizes are quite varied, which is wonderful.

It is especially nice to see this major clothing line have an outlet. I say this as a proud bargain hunter! What's more, this outlet is close to LA, not in the desert areas where these outlets are often.

What to buy: Neutral-colored sweaters :-)

What to pay: for a top and bottom, expect to pay about $25-$50 on average
