Dear VT Travelers,

My previous job used to take me to Philadelphia at least 5 times a year, so that's the reason why you'll see many restaurants and hotels listed on the site. Many of these were recommended to me by people who live in Philadelphia and the surrounding area.

But there are many other things to do in Philly. Don't forget that Philadelphia played a major role in the history of the U.S. There are many historical sites to see (i.e., Independence Square, the Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross' House, etc.) just to name a few. Go visit the museums, South Street, Chinatown and Little Italy.

If you are into sports take in a game with the Phillies, Flyers, Eagles or Sixers. Philadelphia is also home to many world renown universities like the Univ. of Pennsylvania, Temple, Drexel, St. Joseph's, etc. So have fun and please enjoy!
