Hi fellow travelers,
Welcome to the most exciting place in the world, New York City (a.k.a. The Big Apple). I grew up here, but moved away in 1977, but I will never forget my time there. I still have lots of family in the area, and visit them often. Following is a brief overview of the city, I hope that you enjoy.
Here's the bad news about New York: It's noisy. It's expensive. The traffic is impossible. The pace can feel frenetic. And just try to find a cab when you need one.
People have been saying those things for years, and New York is still the most visited city in the world. In fact, tourism is at an all-time high because recent years have brought many positive changes to the city.
New York is noticeably cleaner and safer. The entire Times Square area has been rejuvenated and the lights are brighter than ever, and the mood of the city is definitely upbeat.
When it comes to dining, shopping, entertainment, and excitement, this city has no equal. It's a fast-moving feast for visitors. The key is to pick up your step, get with the pace and take a delicious bite of the many pleasures the Big Apple has to offer (courtesy of MSN Expedia).
