Water Taxi running off ... - Laughlin

Water Taxi running off ...

An inexpensive boating option ...

The water taxis take you to the docks of the various casinos along the river in Laughlin. Until recently, it would cost $2 one way - a fantastic low cost option for exploration. But now, they charge $5 one way (they say d/t the gas price increase). This price increase kept me off the boats except for the first day ....

For a single day's wandering, it was fun and gave me great photo ops :) But since it was cheaper to walk, or drive - I didn't repeat my journey on other days ....

One note: though it was a little hair raising at times, we did manage this trip with my friend's scooter! Harrah's dock lined up well with the floor of this pontoon boat, and our pilot was experienced in helping with these sorts of transfers. He knew which dock upstream would allow the best line up for exiting, and for re-entering the boat later. We even got luck! Several hours later, he pulled up to the dock for our return trip!!!

Directions: At every dock EXCEPT the Poineer ... just walk on out and check it out!

Colorado River Tours

There are so many choices for cruising the Colorado River - and next time I'll take one!

For now, be content to know they exist, and that you can cruise from Laughlin to the north, or from Laughlin to the south (and back in both cases ...) Prices seem reasonable to me - just hadn't brought my motion sickness treatments on the trip!!

Use the web link to discover the companies and tours offered .....

A gift to veterans ... - Laughlin

A gift to veterans ...

American Heroes Museum

Though this museum started as a specialty display for WWII veterans visiting Laughlin, continued donations of materials from the public led to expansion, a permanent home, and the change to recognizing all American Veterans :)

This museum is just part of the American Heroes theme over at the Ramada Express ..... according to what I saw - this has got to be the most patriotic hotel and casino I've ever seen :)

I've included a pic from their website. It's a closeup of a free pin they provide to anyone who presents stating they are a veteran :)

Directions: In the Ramada Express
