2008 is on the downhilll slide :) | A sweet wedding gift sent from friends in Japan! |
My oh my how time flies! I've not been online here much, and my page is quite dusty ...... but give me a little time and I will do my best to impress in the future.
For now, let me share my current travel plans for 2008. They aren't as far flung and prolific as those of some here on VT, but I can happily say they are mine, allll mine :)
January 2008: Point Arena/Gualala/Santa Rosa - California. [trip done, and rain changed our plans .. but loved the family regardless]
March 2008: Ensenada, Mexico. Just a little 12 hour drive to the beach ....
August 2008: Sister's wedding in Denver.
October 2008: Gonna get married in a little town in little ol' New Mexico
November 2008: Just booked our honeymoon: the Yucatan Peninsula!!
That's it for now, and all subject to change ... more later :)
We've already managed to plan quite a bit more wandering for 2009 too! Jan '09 - Santa Rosa / Point Arena / Monterrey / Salinas / Freemont Feb '09 - Biloxi, Miss - my first time in the gulf coast reagion ;) Jun '09 - a long weekend in Enicinitas, California as we introduce the kids to the beach ... tee-hee
I'm sure there will be more to come .... |
| | For the curious ..... Some of you might already be aware of a little rumor about me and my life ... this man is the source of those rumors. He has touched my soul. For the first time in my life I can imagine growing old beside someone who is much more than a friend. So here I present for your amusement - my Gentle Giant and Husband. We made if official on Halloween in a small town a couple of hours from home. Mountainair, NM and it's people were wonderful hosts for our special day ;) |
2007 .
Though I managed to travel to Roswell for Alien Festival, Bosque del Apache for mosquitoes and birds, Jemez for the hot springs, and even used my passport for a trip to Spain and Portugal ..... but ..... my pages were only slightly added to. I apologize now to my friends here on VT for being such a baaaaad VTer and not taking enough pics, nor writing enough tips. I promise to do better ... really I do.

| | The Joy and Wonder of VT, and VTers :) EllieLou and Muddybok have TLs of their travels that include pictures of wonderful local ceremonies that demonstrate a religious type of body piercing that fascinates me! Ellen's TL on Thaipusam and Muddybok's Kavadi TL simply stun me ..... FleurFox has us all ROTFL!!!! She has become the champion of sillyness by creating, and posting little personality profiles of various VTers; I've posted her version of myself below ... she's created TWO TLs just to display her humorous portraits :) Trekki has a great TL she calls Great hiking trails around the world dedicated to great pages on out of the way locales. Poons was kind enough to document an amazing winter roadtrip and roving Vt meet. Be sure to check out all 5 of the travelogues dedicated to this adventure ..... the main suspects were Bodx, Rusket, Razmatac, Poons , Bradbrown and Cachaseiro ..... accompanied by VT mascots Backpackermoose & Munga ... this is the heart of VT :) KristaB has a wonderful Slovenian Hot Air Balloon adventure of her for her birthday last year :) Check out GrantBoone's Home Page of the Week Awards ..... Though my rein has ended, I've learned a lot by perusing the pages in his collection :) Or for a change, check out all the fun over at Little Lou Lou's Travelogue of the week awards ... AND she just added an artistic photo contest too! nemorino's homepage and travel pages are full of wonderful information about the world of European opera Grazina has pages filled with stories and information about Dine, or Navajo, life and lands .... and seems to enjoy answering questions about her culture :) dlandt's HP is a good read .... and so is his fresh off the press novel! If you are interested in Southwestern US legends, check out my New Mexico Legends travelogue!! So for I've collected 'The Seven Cities of Gold', 'Kokopelli', 'La Llorona', 'Chupacabra', 'Jackalope' and 'The ghost of White Sands'. I"ll be adding more as I learn more :) |
Internet Resources for us all!!! | | | One of my 'less light' trips ;) |
|
| | A true FreeSpirit ... . I have moved my memories of Kinga's life to their permanent residence on my Europe page after her funeral on June 24, 2006. I am continuing to update that page as her family sends information on Freespirit Foundation in Kinga's honor As the foundation's inauguration nears, please consider donating to this worthy cause! They are slowly, but thoroughly translating the site into English. But if you read Polish, it's already there! |
