Broome Travel Guide: 189 reviews and 372 photos
Broome, is a fantastic place, definately out of the way. Very quiet, perfect for a honeymoon, but like traveling anywhere in Australia, can be very expensive. There are Pearl farms to explore, Camels to ride and sunsets to watch. This is the place of the famous Stairway to the moon, which only happens at certain parts of the year when the tide is low and the moon rises, causing a river of light over the sand flats, making it look like there is a stairway to the moon. A great place to go on a honeymoon
(this is a photo that I took, please ask before reproducing)
- Pros:Hot, friendly, great lifestyle
- Cons:Hot, sandy and too much alcohol
- In a nutshell:Great place to get away from it all

Suzy, did you know at one time they tried to use camels for carrying freight into the goldfields of British Columbia during the Cariboo Gold Rush in the 1860's? The horses were scared of them because of the smell they gave off.
what a beautiful shot of the beach!
I'd love to go here!! Thanks for sharing your inspiring photos. :) Susan
thats really cool photos from a place seldom heard of. keep showing us more of that girl.
I've heard of Broome, but like you say... it's expensive to travel to, etc... Maybe one of these years! Hope you're enjoying Melbourne Cup Day... and taking your own advice about "alcohol"... ;) Cheers! w
Suzie, Nice photo of Cable beach! I think I recognise that camel you are on...my wife and I rode it! LOL Melbourne is a great city, I come there lots for work! G'day from Queensland. "Go the Lions!"
Would love to visit Broome! I was born in Subiaco so still consider myself a sandgroper at heart despite living in NSW most of my life.
Awaiting more.
Beautiful page. like your two photos
