I heard that the black colored sand found here is rare in Korea. People believe it has a healing effect.
The short-lived purple colored flowers are glory of Korean spring. The Korean name is Chindale. This one is also at Mt. Yeongchwi.
Sakura Trees give white flowers in spring. This one is at Mt. Yeongchwi (on my way to Heungguksa). Sakura is the Japanese name for the tree (I forgot the Korean word). It is believed that Japanese brought this to Korea.
