Holiday Inn Folly Beach: Right on the Water Tides Folly Beach Review

I had a great stay here. The hotel is clean, the beds are nice, the staff is professional and friendly, and there is a beautiful fountain and a nice gym in the hotel. There are bars around the area on the island for a taste of nightlife, Morris Island Lighthouse is not far, and the beach is at your doorstep. Folly beach is one of the more "hippy-ish" beaches in the Charleston area. (Think more surfers, less tourists.) :-)

The Francis Marion Hotel: A bit of Luxury in Charleston Francis Marion Hotel Review

3 1/2 stars. I had a very nice stay at this hotel. We stayed for 3 nights, and our service was excellent. The lobby is beautifully decorated, with a large piano and and open space. The theme of the hotel is Francis Marion, and you'll find pictures of birds in every room (I suspect this is because of the Francis Marion National Forest.) The hotel is a bit historic... it was built in the early 1900's, and actually had to close down during an economic depression in Charleston in the 1980's. The hotel was reopened (and refurbished) in the 90's. The staff was very friendly.

Unique Qualities: The beds were comfortable, there was a nice view of the northern part of the city from our room, and there is a spa and restaurant located inside.

Charleston - Days Inn Historic District: The heart of downtown Days Inn Historical District Review

Semi-Cheap compared to the surroundings, and the location can't be beat. Not quite new, and not upscale. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean. Great if you want to save some money and stay downtown.

Holiday Inn CHARLESTON-RIVERVIEW, SC: wonderful views, outside of Charleston...... Holiday Inn Charleston Riverview Review

This was a typical Holiday Inn... not too bad. It only takes about 10 minutes to get to downtown from this hotel.

Unique Qualities: It was very scary to be on the balcony off of the hotel room. We were very high up, and the balcony was very small and the gaurd railing didn't seem safe at all. I was afraid to let my son sleep close to the balcony door! But other than that this was a nice place to stay. And the view was just fabulous of the Ashley.
