Anyone, that happens to find themselves in Nurnberg and would not prefer to stay in Nurnberg proper, should look into Burgthann, a pleasant respite indeed. Burthann lies approximately 20 miles Southeast of Nurnberg. A most pleasant stay was enjoyed by my wife and I. Burgthann has a castle that was built around the year 1160. If you find yourself in Burgthann on the third Sunday of the month, you can visit the casle ruins, climb the tower and see the museum. A very nice place to see. For more information visit www.Burgthann.de. |
| Another view of the Castle |
| | There is a steep path that runs from the castle to the town of Burgthann. This is another view of the castle from the pathway. A nice walk. |
This is the castle looking up from the moat. | | |
