Wakura Onsen is a major hot springs resort on the southern shore of Nanao Bay on the Noto Peninsula. Accommodations here consist of large, multi-storey ryokans that line up the waterfront, each boasting a view of the beautiful bay. Apart from them there is relatively little here; certainly it is not tawdry like some major hot springs resort in Japan are. It is more of a base for exploring the beauty of Noto, for which it is very well located.
The source water is quite warm (92C) and slightly salty due to intrusion of sea water. |
