Big, happening, socially civilised, without doubt the best spanish speaking City of Central & South America.
Melancholy "Portenos" are often hard to get a smile out of and occasionally melodramatic, but underneath they have a heart of gold. The city is very safe place for tourists (not so much for locals), the people fair and your are not likely to get ripped off as a tourist.
Some of the best beef, best wine and best football in the world. Cheap for tourists, tragically not so cheap for the locals. If you want to party, before 11pm, forget it or be prepared to do it alone - people rarely venture out before this time but when they do, they stay out all night!! |

santif1 Thu Nov 30, 2006 04:47 UTC Prices has changed a little bit. The inflation is higher in Argentina than in Europe or USA. You can find info about Airport transfers at: http://www.BuenosAiresTravel.ws | syberian Tue Oct 3, 2006 19:43 UTC This is not totally correct. A Remi is slightly more expensive it is true but a lot safer. A remi is a private hire vehicle and unmarked; a taxi with a lone passenger is a target for robbers. Also, never enter a taxi with an (unknown) third person. |
