Charming, quiet, genuine | lost in Aero's countryside |
The Island of Aero, reachable only by ferry from Fyn, is somewhat a pearl in the Danish archipelago. I toured part of it by bike on a day trip from Svendborg and I regret the little time I had. The island is pleasantly blessed by a milder weather and by a hilly landscape. Dotted by windmills and farmhouses, few cars and plenty of bicycles. A real paradise. |

travelife Wed Sep 8, 2004 15:22 UTC Thanks for stopping by my Ebeltoft page! I was in Ærø 2 months ago.. didn get it that sunny because of late arrival of summer. It was rainy. The first pic in your Must see is my fav. spot where you can have a long view towards water. | dabidc Tue Aug 17, 2004 17:34 UTC Sounds like a joy to visit, old world traditions including trust your neighbour. Your searches are excellent at finding quiet, pleasant places. | mtncorg Fri Jun 11, 2004 19:19 UTC You have captured the essence of Aero in these brief pages! Magnifico! | yooperprof Thu Jun 10, 2004 04:32 UTC I like bikes - and I like islands too, so this seems like my kind of place. |
