Moteagle Assembly is a community of summer homes on a mountain southeast of Nashville. It is a religious community, dating back to the mid 1800's, where Nasville society would spend the hot summers. It still thrives today, though by the end of August it is empty, since school is back in session. |
| | Nothing is more Southern than a swing on a screened porch. The home we stayed in was built in 1885, and every inch was authentic, down to the creaky, uneven wood floors. Most homes in the Assembly are rentable by their owners, and many are handed down through generations. Each home is truly uniue and charming |
| | Monteagle is a wonderful place to saunter around and explore. There are homes tucked away, creaky old bridges, windy gravel roads, tree groves to laze under. Its a perfect family reunion location, which is what brough me there, and I will have fond memories of it, and plan to return to create more. |
